AHMAD HAJI KADYROB MOSQUE (ABU GHOSH)

The Ahmad Haji Kadyrob Mosque in Abu Ghosh, is one of the country’s largest, accommodating up to 3,000 worshippers. Completed in 2014 with funding from Chechnya’s government under Ramzan Kadyrob, it honors his father, former Chechen President Ahmad Haji Kadyrob , who was assassinated in 2004. Built in Ottoman style with a golden dome and four 50-meter minarets, the mosque reflects the town’s claimed Chechen heritage.
